Bio-Diverse Colony - Healer

Healers give all they have for the betterment of the colony. Once emerged from their cocoon they immediately seek out the spores of the fungus that occupies a vast section of their habitat, or should the colony have thrived long enough, the swollen fungal corpses of the healers that came before them. They consume herbs and other medicinal properties, converting and storing them as extremely potent substances within their wattles and pustules. Should a member of the colony need their help they will use their skin flaps to glide their way towards the injured party, and using either their regurgitated materials or the spores that grow from their back, attempt to heal the injured colony member. Healers have a symbiotic relationship with the fungus, the fungus is allowed to thrive in those conditions, and the colony will allow use it to heal their own kind. It is a constant battle for it’s life however as once the creature becomes too old or weak the fungus takes over it’s functions, bringing it back to the colony to die and feed the next generation.
